RecruitPocket is a Chrome browser extension designed to help recruiters save and organize candidate profiles from LinkedIn and Facebook. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

2. Data we collect

RecruitPocket collects no personal data from users. Specifically:

We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information
We do not track your browsing activity
We do not send any data to external servers
We do not use analytics or tracking tools
We do not use cookies

3. Data stored locally

All data you create within RecruitPocket — including candidate profiles, notes, reminders, templates, and scores — is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage using the Chrome Storage API.

This data:

Never leaves your device
Is never transmitted to our servers (we have none)
Is never shared with third parties
Is fully under your control — you can delete it at any time

4. Candidate data

When you save a candidate profile, the information captured (name, title, company, location, LinkedIn/Facebook URL) is stored only on your device. RecruitPocket does not have access to this information.

5. Permissions

RecruitPocket requests the following browser permissions:

storage — to save your candidate profiles locally on your device
activeTab — to detect when you are on a LinkedIn or Facebook profile page
scripting — to display the Save button on profile pages
alarms — to trigger follow-up reminder notifications
notifications — to display follow-up reminders

These permissions are used solely to provide the extension's core features. No data collected through these permissions is transmitted externally.

6. Third-party services

RecruitPocket does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.

The extension operates on LinkedIn (linkedin.com) and Facebook (facebook.com). Your use of these platforms is governed by their respective privacy policies. RecruitPocket is not affiliated with LinkedIn or Facebook.

7. GDPR compliance

Because RecruitPocket stores all data locally on your device and collects no personal information, it is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by design. There is no data processing on our end.

8. Children's privacy

RecruitPocket is designed for professional use by adult recruiters. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify users through the Chrome Web Store listing.
